Wmo aids in Nijmegen: who do you call, and for what?

Since 1 June 2026 the municipality of Nijmegen works with two extra suppliers of aids: Meyra and Medipoint. This is about aids such as wheelchairs, mobility scooters and other provisions that you receive from the municipality through the Wmo (the Dutch Social Support Act, arranged by your municipality).

Do you already have an aid? Then you do not need to do anything. You can simply keep using it, and Welzorg will keep maintaining and repairing it. Is something broken? Then still call Welzorg on 088 – 0016 700.

Since 1 June 2026, Meyra and Medipoint handle the other cases: when your aid has to be replaced, when you get an extra one, or when you get a completely new aid. You may then choose which of the two you want. If you do not choose, the municipality picks one for you at random, and that supplier will contact you.

You apply for a new aid or a replacement through the Wmo of the municipality of Nijmegen: call 14 024 (Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 17.00) or use the contact form on nijmegen.nl.
