How care is paid for
At Divers Zorg you arrange your care with a pgb (a personal budget you use to buy your own care). That budget comes from the Wmo (the Dutch Social Support Act, arranged by your municipality) or the Wlz (the Dutch Long-Term Care Act). On this page we explain in plain language how that works — and we help you with the application free of charge.
From application to care, in two steps
First you apply for an assessment or a decision — at your municipality (Wmo) or at the CIZ (the national body that assesses long-term care needs) for the Wlz. Then you choose a personal budget. With that budget you can work with us.
Good to know: we work only with a pgb. Divers Zorg does not have a contract for zorg in natura (care arranged and paid for directly by the municipality or the care office), so you cannot receive our care straight through the municipality or the care office. If you choose a pgb when your care is granted, you can work with us. We help you with that free of charge.
Wmo
This is where you apply for the budget
Who it is for
For support at home, such as guidance, day activities or help with the household. Your municipality arranges this care through the Wmo.

What do you pay yourself?
For most Wmo support you pay a personal contribution (eigen bijdrage): in 2026 no more than € 21,80 per month, whatever your income.
Wlz
For lasting, intensive care
Who it is for
For people who permanently need care or supervision 24 hours a day. You apply for the Wlz with an assessment from the CIZ.

For Wlz care you pay a personal contribution through the CAK (the body that collects the personal contribution). The amount depends on your income.

This is how you work with us
Who it is for
With a pgb (a personal budget you use to buy your own care) you choose who gives the care. This is the route through which you receive care from Divers Zorg. The SVB (the bank that pays care providers from your pgb) pays the care providers from your budget.
How to apply

- 2Once it is granted, you choose your own care provider — Divers Zorg, for example.
- 3The SVB pays the care providers from your budget.
What do you pay yourself?
That depends on the scheme your pgb comes from (Wmo or Wlz). We are happy to work this out with you.
What is the personal contribution?
Do you receive care through your municipality (Wmo) or through the Wlz? Then you usually pay a personal contribution (eigen bijdrage) for it. The CAK arranges this — that is the body that collects this bill on behalf of the government. So you receive the bill from the CAK and not from us.
Under the Wmo it is a fixed amount: in 2026 no more than € 21,80 per month. That amount is the same for everyone, whatever you earn and however much help you receive. For some kinds of support you pay nothing; the municipality tells you what applies in your situation.
Under the Wlz the personal contribution does depend on your income and assets: those who have more, pay more. On the CAK website you can work out roughly what that will be in your situation.
